A portrait of Czesław W-K by O. Boznańska

The Regional Museum in Suwałki has acquired this item thanks to the support of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage as part of a programme run by the National Institute of Museology and Collection Preservation. Expansion of the museum’s collections: a portrait of Czesław Wierusz-Kowalski by Olga Boznańska.The portrait was painted in Paris in 1907, when Czesław, the son of Alfred, was studying painting at the Académie Julian and visiting the artist – a long-time friend of the Wierusz-Kowalski family – in her Paris studio.
